PARTICIPATING SCHOOL DIVISIONS
Peace Wapiti Public School Division
Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to over 6,000 Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in 34 schools, including nine Hutterite colony schools, two outreach schools, an online school, and educational programming at a group home facility.
The system provides schooling for students from Horse Lake First Nation and the Community of Kelly Lake. Alternative Education provides flexible programming to 95 students. In the smaller and more rural high schools, some reliance is placed on distance education programs to augment the basic in-school offerings. Specialty programs exist to meet local needs.
The Virtual Equestrian is proud to support Peace Wapiti Public School Division by providing an Educational Equestrian Platform for students interested in learning about horses.
Durham District School Board (DDSB)
Inclusive Student Services provides a range of services, supports, programs, and placement for students with special education needs in the Durham District School Board (DDSB). Students’ needs are met through a variety of supports and programs within the DDSB at both the elementary and secondary levels. All programs promote integration and independence that are optimally suited for each individual student.
The Virtual Equestrian is proud to support DDSB’s Students Services by providing an Educational Equestrian Platform for students interested in learning about horses.
