DESCRIPTION

This Course is a fundamental guide on Disabilities commonly associated with individuals who ride in Adaptive/Therapeutic Riding Programs.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify special problems presented in a Therapeutic Riding lesson.
  • Identify precautions and know what to do.
  • Describe the right mount (type of horse) that will support the rider’s needs.
  • Describe the correct equipment that will support each rider’s needs.
  • Understanding Movement Terminology
  • Identify Human Anatomy & Muscles Used For Riding
  • Explain Mounting/Dismounting Techniques
  • Understand which forms should be seen for Therapeutic Riding Programs
